Suddenly Single & Suffering

 Dearest Maggie,

Suddenly, I find myself single ... SINGLE.  Something I never thought I would ever be again.  I am lost and unsure as to what to do.  Starting over ... it's not something that I can fathom or wrap myself around.  What am I supposed to do?  Where do I begin?

Dearest Suddenly Single:

My advice to you ... stand still.  Don't do anything.  Making any major decisions in the midst of the storm will only lead to destruction.  Now is the time to get your bearings, settle your spirit and seek God for the answers.  Right now, you are confused, hurt and angry.  You have suffered a loss ... allow yourself time to heal and grieve. Please seek counsel either through your church or another organization that can help ...don't go through this alone.

Lord, I pray that you would surround my Sister with your loving arms.  Give her comfort in the midst of the storm.  Encompass her about with songs of deliverance and remind her of who you are ... Redeemer, Restorer, Healer & Waymaker.  You alone, Abba can turn her mourning into dancing.  Remind her of Your Unfailing, Everlasting & Unconditional Love!  Heal her wounded heart.  In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!
